2000s

• Acquisition of SybaTek, an AV systems integrator in Southern California.
• Achieves AV Provider of Excellence (AVIXA APEx Certified).
• Launches Command & Control Solutions division.
• Acquisition of Kunz AV, expanding sales in MD, VA, WV, and DC.
• Achieves National Women’s Business Enterprise Certification by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
• Awarded Platinum dealer status with SMART Technologies.
• Acquisition of the Peirce-Phelps AV systems and products division, making us one of the largest AV systems integrators in the Mid-Atlantic region.
• Selected as University of Pennsylvania’s dedicated on-site AV partner.

70s, 80s, and 90s

• Develops reseller partnership with SMART Technologies, inventor of the original interactive white board.
• Selected as the Pennsylvania Convention Center’s in-house AV events partner.
• Builds Live Event production business an outgrowth of its AV Rental business.
• Visual Sound and Apple, Inc. partner to sell, train, and support computer technology in the Education market.

1967

• Visual Sound was established as the professional Audio Visual division of the Camera Shop, Inc. founded in 1954, and later sold to Ritz Camera.
